Submitting a site over and over does nothing

I don't know why, but it seems like it always comes up again that submitting a site to search engines again and again will actually help it get indexed quicker, or help it rank better.

The first point about indexing is just false as once it's in the queue it's in the queue. There is nothing you can do to make it move up the list.

The second point about the ranking is straight up irrelevant. First of all, indexing has nothing to do with the actual algorithmic ranking of a page. And second, even if it did why would this hold value? It proves nothing of value for the user.

In short, stop submitting your web site over and over again and work on something productive instead .
